Today the first matches of College Deadlock kick off. 16 teams compete to win a portion of the $5,000 prize pool over a seven-week season and one week of playoffs. Each of the following 16 teams play games within their group of 8 in a best-of-three round robin. The groups and teams are as follows:

- Penn State University
- University of Nebraska
- Iowa State University
- Minnesota State University

- Texas Tech University
- University of New Mexico
- Purdue University Black
We have a great lineup of 16 schools across North America that are competing for the title of the first college deadlock champion. Many of these students are new to the game of deadlock, and many more have been playing for months preparing for this challenge. With a vast skill range, the matches are sure to be exciting and upsets will be plentiful! Teams organize their matches through the use of threads in our deadlock discord.
Each of these teams will have the opportunity to showcase their skills live on our twitch channel. Streams will take place every Friday at 7pm EST, with additional stream days potentially in the works. We also have community nights on our deadlock discord for our fans and students who may not have gotten the chance to play this season!
